Busy and Crazy days

Hi I am back. Haven't been blogging for a long long long time. Maybe
because I am lazy or maybe I am busy. Hmmm...
Well, time flies. It is almost the end of the one week school holiday for Elizabeth and next week she will be back to school and Skyler will be two. Is it going to be a "terrible two"? I hope not. Although I didn't register Lizzy for any class, we had a busy schedule.
Last Saturday, my SIL Margaret came over to celebrate her birthday in our house. So as a host i have to prepare some stuff, so I planned a Thai theme dishes for her but have to take note not to cook it too spicy or too sour. They can't tolerate the heat and sourness. It took me the whole afternoon preparing thai fish cakes, pineapple fried rice, glass noodle salad (Yum woon sen) and mango, pomelo and sago dessert. My younger SIL got Margaret "cutely" decorated birthday cake.

Welcome Skyler

Baby No. 2 is finally here. He was born on 14th Sept weighing at 6.73lbs. He look so much like the 3D/4D ultrasound picture. So my life have been quite busy with the newborn as all mother knows, all the night feeds and diaper changing also not forgetting the rest that all new mom need. But all is well coz a wonderful person is here to help, she is none other than my mom. Baby Skyler has got lots of wind and for the past few weeks have been only pooping only every 3 days. It also seem like he is on a growth spur coz he is nursing every 45 mins. Even with the 4oz bottle of formula it seem to only last him 45 mins and he is needing to feed already. So even formula could satified him longer. But yesterday after he went for his 2nd month immunization, he is even fussier but he is feeding lesser (maybe growth spur over). Hope he will be well soon.

Elizabeth's first piano recital

About a month ago, Elizabeth attended her first piano recital. It was very exciting for us, it was her first time playing on a real piano since she is using a keyboard at home during her piano lessons. It was a good experience for her too and she get to watch other children play. I was surprise that she did not have any "stage fright" at all. Then it occure to me that maybe she is a performer. Well lets hope she continue with her interest in playing the piano, at least I can get her to sit down and concentrate for a few minutes. And hopefully it will also help her with her rhythm. Next week she will be starting a drawing class.

"First Look" at Baby No.2

Posted by Jo at 12:26 AM 0 comments
Last Thursday we went for a 3D/4D ultrasound to look at the baby. The baby look so much like Ed. He/She (since we don't know the sex of the baby) has Ed's mouth and nose. The baby looks very chubby and the lady who did the ultrasound kept saying she can't get over how chubby the baby look. As of two days ago, my weight is 131lbs. I am putting on very fast and I am hungry all the time. Guess I have to start watching my diet or I may get too big.
Finally, school starts today and Lizzy is in school right now. So I get to have some "alone time" in the morning. But still this week is a busy week coz on top of her Chinese class she still have her ballet/tap class and swimming class. Both ballet/tap and swimming will be ending soon. But really thought of letting her continue her ballet/tap class. I just have to be more hardworking in sending her to class.

Waiting

I am now into my 32 weeks and only 8 more weeks to go. My belly is getting bigger by the days and have already put on 21pounds. It is getting more and more difficult to sleep at night. In addition to the getting up to go to the toilet, every laying down positions are not comfortable. We will be doing a 3D/4D ultrasound tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Lizzy is excited to be a big sister and she kept telling me that she is going to be the best big sister in the whole wide world. Hopefully she is still as enthusiastic when the baby arrives. Lizzy is enjoying both her ballet/tap class and swimming class that I signed her up for this summer. School term starts next week and hope she can wake up early after a few months of late nights.
